leaving

graduated last week. feels like finishing a book you've been reading for four years and realizing there's no sequel, just a different genre entirely.

walked around campus the night before commencement. the Bardeen Quad, the ECE building, the path between Siebel and Grainger that i took every day for three years. i kept thinking i should feel something big and mostly i just felt tired. which is probably the honest version of nostalgia.

i start work in June. back to California. it's strange to go home and have it not be home in the same way. my room is still there but i'm not the person who left it.

anyway. CompE '24. we did it.
